Makassar, February 26, 2025 – LPH-Halal Examiner Center (PPH) Hasanuddin University conducted a Fatwa meeting with MUI at the South Sulawesi Province branch of the Indonesian Ulema Council which is located in Makassar City. On this occasion the PPH Unhas Team presented the results of the audit of 14 (fourteen) business actors. The fatwa meeting was held with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Makassar City on Wednesday (26/2). This meeting is an important stage in the halal certification process in order to obtain Halal Determination for 14 proposed businesses.

The Head of PPH Unhas Prof. Dr. Nahariah, S.Pt., M.P., IPM., ASEAN.Eng said that the results of the examination of the halal product guarantee system or abbreviated as SJPH for business actors who have been examined by the Unhas Halal Auditor were submitted to the Fatwa meeting to obtain Halal provisions. The PPH management who attended the occasion was Nur Atikah Handayani, S.Pt., M.Si. Also present were Suci Asharianti, S.Pt., Inas Nabilah Apriana M., S.Pt., and A. Naurah Nadzifah Mayadika, S.H.

With the holding of this meeting, LPH-PPH Unhas and MUI South Sulawesi are committed together to continue to strengthen the halal ecosystem in South Sulawesi. The halal certification process is expected to run more efficiently, provide broad benefits to the community, and increase consumer confidence in halal certified products.
