Makassar, February 28, 2025 – Health Polytechnic (Poltekkes) Ministry of Health paid a visit to the Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Halal Examiner Center (PPH). This visit aims to discuss the regular line halal inspection process implemented at PPH Unhas.
During the meeting, representatives from the Poltekkes Kemenkes were received directly by the Head of PPH Unhas, Prof. Dr. Nahariah, S.Pt., M.P., IPM., ASEAN, Eng., along with the PPH Unhas management. The discussion took place interactively, discussing the stages of regular halal inspection, the requirements that must be met by business actors, and the role of educational institutions in supporting the halal certification process in Indonesia.
The Head of PPH Unhas said that halal inspection is an important part in ensuring that products circulating in the community comply with sharia provisions. “We are committed to continuing to improve halal inspection services, especially in regular channels, in order to provide halal certainty for products consumed by the public,” he said.
Representatives from the Poltekkes Kemenkes also expressed their appreciation for the halal inspection facilities and systems in PPH Unhas. They hope that this visit can strengthen the synergy between the academic world and the government in an effort to expand the scope of halal certification in Indonesia.
With collaborations like this, it is hoped that halal certification can be more easily accessed by business actors and provide wider benefits to the community.
