*A: Here are the steps:*
1. *Registration* – Business owners register through the SIHALAL-Halal Certification system provided by BPJPH.
2. *Document Review* – The verification team from BPJPH reviews the documents, and if complete, they will be submitted to LPH Unhas.
3. *Fee Determination* – LPH Unhas determines the certification fee.
4. *Payment* – Business owners make the payment according to the applicable regulations.
5. *Auditor Appointment* – LPH Unhas assigns a halal auditor.
6. *Inspection Preparation* – The halal auditor prepares the audit activity plan.
7. *Pre-Inspection* – The halal auditor conducts an administrative review of the business’s Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH).
8. *Field Audit/Inspection* – The halal auditor team conducts an on-site inspection to examine ingredients and production processes for compliance with the SJPH.
9. *Laboratory Testing* – If necessary, product samples will be tested to ensure they contain no non-halal substances.
10. *Inspection Report Preparation* – The halal auditor compiles the inspection report and submits it to LPH Unhas.
11. *Reporting* – LPH Unhas submits the audit report to the Fatwa Commission via the SIHALAL system.

• Having a Halal Supervisor. For micro-scale businesses, they must have attended training, proven by the issuance of a certificate as a Halal Supervisor. For small, medium, and large-scale businesses, the Halal Supervisor must have passed the competency test as a Halal Supervisor.
• Having a business quality guideline (including supporting documents such as a list of raw materials and halal certificates for raw materials from suppliers).
• Willingness to comply with the five SJPH criteria.
